2. Europe must focus, massively, on emerging defence tech & precision strike - conventional re-armament would indeed take too long - per @andrewmichta.bsky.social it would take 10 years [which we don't have] & cost too much for too little effectiveness & risks being obsolete soon. 3. We can instead rapidly boost combat our power with powerful, scalable, masse- precision weapons, capable of being produced by multiple European producers & leverage our existing capabilities with AI & other battle-network innovations. 4.Not to replicate how the US fights or replace missing capabilities, but to hold key RU governance & leadership, industrial, war fighting capacities at risk while developing our own way of war that can overwhelm Russian battlefield Massed Meat+Precision with Multiply Massed, Amplified Precision. 5. This should focus not on reactive defence against the threat Russia is building but on the ability to defeat Russia on the battlefield while deterring it from nuclear use - high-low mix 6. New autonomous & unscrewed systems, produced, tested & improved rapidly [incl in 🇺🇦] en masse + mass produced missiles for our already strong air forces (which mainly lack depth of magazine) can tip this in our favour together with long-range strategic strike (nuclear & non-nuclear) 7. This plays to European strengths in research, innovation & can use latent industrial capacity to scale - all of which are massive advantages we hold over Russia - if we target them properly 8. This approach would also unleash the emerging defence tech firms in Europe that are raring to go & ripe to grow - & which can turbo charge our economic growth, while getting a much bigger bang for our buck than focusing on old, prohibitively expensive exquisite platforms. 9. Focusing on emerging defence tech allows us to use the two overlapping disruptive shifts in the character of war we are experiencing to our advantage & invert the military disadvantage we have re Russia. 10. Turbo-charging & growing our defence-technological industrial base (DTIB) positions Europe to be competitive in the longer term & without or with the US, if Washington corrects its historic mistake, to become stronger defenders of the free world.
