At the time, and even now, most climate projections, are based on big physical effects like sea level rise, at the end of the 21st Century, simply because most climate scientists are physicists, who've never studied ecology of life sciences. 2/7 The problem is ecological science, which I am a graduate in, is artificially delineated, to only study the ecological interactions of non-human organisms, and humans at seen as detached from the rest of the natural world. But this is plainly rubbish, as we are clearly biological organisms. 3/ I've focused on warning of climate related food shortages, which would destabilize our society, by creating food hyperinflation, in a free market system that treats food as a tradeable commodity, there are many other ways, the ecological impacts of climate change can destabilize our societies. 4/7 All I've done, is to apply well known ecological principles to human society, as I say, scientific ecology does not study humanity as it is seen as separate from the rest of the natural world. All those ridiculously claiming we can adapt to climate change, are ecologically ignorant, and fail to understand that climate change will profoundly change everything. Most ecosystems and their components (biodiversity) are primarily adapted to climate conditions at their current location. 6/7 There is a complete failure to understand how we are fundamentally reliant on natural ecosystems in a myriad number of ways, most cannot even imagine. Once we change that relationship, we cut off the branch on which humanity is perched. 7/7
