Lots of people are going to think this is too simplistic, but this is how things are. Neoliberal centrists like Keir Starmer and all the other Western leaders have made themselves very unpopular, by pursuing harsh neoliberalism for the super-rich, whilst falsely claiming to represent everyone. 1/3 So unsophisticated people, have been fooled into thinking that if they vote for a far right, populist party, things will be different. Not realizing that these far right leaders like Farage, are ultra-neoliberals, representing the super-rich. The policy people hate will be even worse under them. 2/3 The innate problem, is hardly any of the public have heard of neoliberalism, or know what it is. Our lying politicians claim that neoliberalism doesn't exist, and it's a left wing conspiracy theory. @georgemonbiot.bsky.social did a good job communicating it, but most have never heard of him. 3/3 PS. This is the overall problem, the mainstream media are liars, gaslighting the public. They are at the forefront of keeping people in the dark about neoliberalism, and pretending it doesn't exist. There are honest commentators, but the establishment makes sure only a small minority hear them.
