OMG, Andy Burnham has said the N word in public. Neoliberalism that is. "It all adds up to 40 years of neoliberalism that have not been kind to the north of England – 40 years of trickle-down economics that did not, in the end, trickle down very much ..." theguardian.com 1/

Maybe at last we can have the conversation about neoliberalism, which has been hidden by the neoliberal establishment, for over 40 years. Where the public has been completely in the dark, that all the mainstream political parties, have been following an anti-human economic doctrine. 2/ As I have made clear, I support @zackpolanski.bsky.social 's Green Party policy, because I think Labour is encumbered by too much baggage, to implement the necessary change we need to avert the consequences of the climate and ecological crisis. 3/ I have no doubt at all, that Andy Burnham's pragmatism has been inspired by the success of the Green Party under @zackpolanski.bsky.social where he has broken the mould by speaking about topics, which received wisdom, said would be the death of any political part, and scoring success. 4/ I don't think people realize how influential politicians speaking about these things in public, can change things completely. Yes, they will have hate poured on them by the establishment media, and be smeared, but these things will be heard. 5/ Let's get this clear, Nigel Farage and Reform are ultra-neoliberals. Neoliberalism being the doctrine of the billionaires, the oligarchs and big corporations, because it created their obscene wealth, which they hoard and keep, and which definitely doesn't trickle down. 6/ Absolutely the only reason people are considering Reform, is because they think they have tried Labour, the Conservatives and the LibDems, but they have been baffled why they got the same policy from all of them, the neoliberal agenda, which has been hidden. 7/ The unsophisticated people considering voting for Reform are doing so in the naive false belief that Reform will be a shift from the hated policy of the neoliberals, not realizing that Farage and his Reform stooges, are the biggest neoliberals of all, and will be far worse. 8/ As I have said, I don't believe Andy Burnham is the new Messiah, but I do think he is pragmatic enough to realize that neoliberalism, which he has engaged in as a politician, has been a huge mistake, and does not bring the economic prosperity claimed. 9/ The first step to dragging us out of this mess, is being open and talking about it. We need total system change, and very few in politics understand how radical this change must be, This isn't ideological, but is the only way to survive the climate and ecological emergency, we have induced. 10/
