1/ Russian forces in the Lyman salient are being hampered by an "acute" shortage of supplies and personnel, according to Russian reports. They are said to be facing a difficult and deteriorating situation as Ukraine's counteroffensive continues. ⬇️

2/ 'It's Time To Go Home' reports that Ukraine has "consolidated its positions in Sredne, Novoselivka, Yarove, and Oleksandrivka. Fighting for Kolodyazi is underway." 3/ "The Ukrainians are fording the Zherebets River, which has become significantly shallower over the summer. Fighting is ongoing near Yampolivka and Terny. The enemy has transferred significant forces from Zaporizhzhia and the Kharkiv region to this area. 4/ "However, there's no point in talking about any kind of broad-front offensive; that's impossible. Small groups are operating. 5/ "The enemy has deployed numerous units, which have managed to isolate a large grey zone where our small groups were previously operating; they are no longer there. Most of the enemy units are advancing into this zone and amassing in Lyman. 6/ "Heavy fighting is underway in the central, southern, and northern parts of the city. Separately, the enemy has deployed additional artillery and multiple rocket launcher (MLRS) forces, which are operating at extreme range." 7/ Apart from the fighting on the ground, the author says, there are "other, more tangible factors that have contributed to the deteriorating operational situation on the Lyman front": 8/ "- The enemy's disruption of our logistics: This has entered a new phase with the increasing supply of Hornets from the United States. There are indeed a lot of them, not just in the Lyman area, but on all other fronts. However, this problem is most acute on this front. 9/ "Our units have been forced to withdraw from certain areas due to a lack of supply. We are talking specifically about small groups that were operating in the grey zone, which is now occupied by the enemy. 10/ "- Shortage of personnel: The front line is constantly expanding, and more personnel are needed. War is always difficult, and there are never any guarantees of smooth operations. 11/ "Reserves are always needed that can quickly stabilise the situation, push the enemy back to their starting positions, and beyond. 12/ "These should not be units that are hastily pulled from a neighbouring sector, but rather reserves that are stationed nearby specifically for such situations. According to the principles of military science, every front should have these reserves. 13/ "Such reserve units are ideal for rotations; today you are on the front line, and tomorrow you rotate into reserve, and so on. To enable these movements, it is necessary to resolve the issue of safe logistics and provide more personnel. 14/ "How? That's something that high-ranking officials should be figuring out. There are options." 15/ Another Russian source says that approximately 12,000 Ukrainian soldiers are involved on a roughly 30 km-wide front, including troops from the Azov Regiment, the Special Operations Forces (SSO), and the "Artan" unit of the Intelligence Directorate (HUR). 16/ 'Artjockey' notes that although the Ukrainian military has now publicly acknowledged the counteroffensive, they are still maintaining operational secrecy about its extent and objectives: 17/ "Ukraine has officially announced its offensive operation near Lyman. [Brigadier General Andrii] Biletsky stated that the operation is called "Vivaldi," complained that the excessive attention is not helpful, but said that there are more plans than people think. 18/ "According to him, everyone assumes that the goal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is to push back the Russian Armed Forces beyond the Zherebets, but "Vivaldi has 4 seasons, and this is only the first one." 19/ "Furthermore, they have officially announced the capture of only five villages – marked on this map – which is much less than what OSINT analysts know.

20/ "The Ukrainian Armed Forces are fighting directly near the [Zherebets] river, and it is possible that the next stage of lifting the embargo will depend on the results of these battles." /end Sources: 🔹 t.me 🔹 t.me 🔹 t.me 🔹 t.me 🔹 t.me
