1/ Ukrainian drone manufacturer Fire Point's announcement that it has extended its FP-1 drone's range to 3,400 km (2,100 miles) is prompting alarm among Russian warbloggers. One notes that this puts many strategically vital industrial sites in Siberia within range. ⬇️
2/ Russian journalist Igor Dmitriev comments: "The head of Fire Point company, Denis Stiler, claims that the upgraded FP-1 drones can fly 3,400 km. Of course, he's just hype and lying! But if it's true, the following targets will be hit: 3/ "Tyumen Refinery (2,100 km) - already attacked in June, the fuel base of the country's main oil-producing region: gasoline and diesel are primarily used for domestic consumption in Western Siberia, including oil production itself. 4/ "Tobolsk (2,250 km) – SIBUR's largest petrochemical complex, "ZapSibNeftekhim", producing polymers and monomers, with no alternatives - it's a de facto monopolist in several sectors of the country. 5/ "Surgut (2,600 km) – the center of Tyumen oil production, Surgutneftegas' infrastructure, reservoirs, oil preparation units for transportation, plus the Surgut GRES, which supplies energy to the entire region. 6/ "Nizhnevartovsk (2,700 km) – "Samotlor", also oil production and preparation. Without these two points, there's simply nowhere to send the extracted oil - the strike doesn't hit processing, but the very beginning of the chain. 7/ "Novosibirsk (3,100 km) – a major industrial centre, where military production used to be safe due to sheer distance, but today there's already a missile danger warning there. 8/ "Tomskneftekhim (3,200 km) – producing polypropylene and polyethylene, one of the few such plants beyond the Urals, difficult to replace. The Achinsk and Krasnoyarsk refineries are beyond the stated distance - 300-400 kilometers further. 9/ "So if the figure of 3,400 km is real, it means that Ukraine now has the ability to strike not only at the European part, but also at the energy infrastructure of Western Siberia all at once – the very infrastructure that feeds the budget. And all along the chain. 10/ "This means that there will simply be nowhere to ship the extracted oil, and production will have to be halted. And there's a problem with air defence - it will have to be stretched across half the country. 11/ "Previously, the choice was between Moscow and Ryazan.
