1/ A Russian tank crewman in the Pokrovsk region says that things are not going well there. Only 2 of his unit's 16 tanks are operational, there aren't enough men to operate the rest, and the tankers at the front line are being expended as assault troops instead. ⬇️
2/ The unidentified man, who says he is in a tank unit somewhere near Pokrovsk, says: "Well, we have no one left to send, we have no fucking crews at all. Of the three fucking companies left there... well, we can put together a company."
3/ The shortage of personnel means that three-quarters of the unit's tanks have had to be left at Antratsyt in the Russian far rear, south of Luhansk city. The remaining quarter are at the front line in a plantation, but half of those don't work. 4/ "Right now we have four here — hidden in the forest, two more are still being repaired, and the rest — twelve tanks, fuck, are in Antratsyt. Only two are operational right now, fuck." 5/ So many men are either injured or have deserted that there aren't enough to operate the remaining tanks: 6/ "So they gathered us: the first company, fuck, they gathered everyone from the three companies, fuck... Well, there are no people [left]: some are wounded, some are fucking 500 [deserters], some are fucking who knows what ... 7/ "Well, they're in Antratsyt — I don't know yet, but we don't have any people at all, fuck. I don't know where they'll put 12 tanks, unless they put one person in each tank." At the same time, commanders are sending the few remaining tank crew into infantry assaults: 8/ "Well, they scare the fuck out of us with assaults too, fuck ... Well, while we're standing here, our infantry is fucking fighting over there. We sometimes go out and work [with them]." /end Source: t.me
